Hawaiian Doughnut Shop Coming To Lehigh Valley
Aloha Jay's Malasadas will open for business in Hellertown on Saturday, May 4, according to its owners.
The soft opening is planned for 8 a.m. Saturday, Aloha Jay's said on Facebook. Weekday hours are 7 a.m to 8 p.m. and weekend hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Aloha Jay's will offer Hawaiian doughnuts or malasadas with options for fillings and toppings, Kona coffee, punch, hot chocolate, and more, according to its website.

More than three-quarters of a million Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled due to potentially faulty air bags that could cause them to deploy unexpectedly.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that the motor vehicle giant is recalling upwards of 750,000 cars, SUVs, minivans, and pick-up trucks due to the malfunctioning air bags, which could pose a safety hazard, the agency says.

A father-son pair of cheesesteak shop owners were sentenced to prison last week for hiding $8 million in revenue from tax collectors, say federal prosecutors.
Nicholas Lucidonio, 57, and Anthony Lucidonio Sr., 84, the proprietors of Tony Luke's in South Philadelphia, will each spend 20 months behind bars, said the Justice Department in a release.

TGI Fridays Closing MontCo Restaurant, 30 Total Locations Across Northeast
TGI Fridays is closing nearly 30 "underperforming" locations across the northeast and will sell eight restaurants to the chain's former CEO, the chain said in a news release.
The 27 closures include restaurants in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. In total, 36 TGI Fridays locations are shutting down nationwide.
The company says about 1,000 employees, which represent more than 80% of those impacted, will be offered transfer opportunities.

More than two million Honda and Acura vehicles are being subject to a national recall due to fuel pumps that could be defective and cause engines to stall while driving.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that upwards of 2.5 million vehicles are subject to the recall, which covers a host of different makes and models.
