Student Arrested After Bringing Gun To Union Catholic HS: Police
A student at Union Catholic High School was arrested after they brought a handgun to school on Monday, Jan. 22, authorities said.
At 10:45 a.m., Scotch Plains police was alerted by the high school about a firearm being recovered, Jeffrey Briel, the chief of police, said. The school was immediately placed on lockdown as police recovered the weapon, Briel said.
There was no threat or harm to the school, students or personnel, Briel said. The Scotch Plains-Fanwood school district as well as schools nearby were also placed in a temporary lockdown out of an abundance of caution, Briel said.…
'Gun' Held By Masked Man Causes Lockdown In Mt. Holly Springs, PSP Says
A Carlisle elementary was locked down when people saw a masked man carrying what looked like a gun walking nearby on Thursday, May 18, 2023, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
W.G. Rice Elementary School, part of the South Middleton Area School District, locked down while police looked for the man, authorities say.
Zachary Kramer, 20, of Carlisle was found with a backpack that contained a realistic air soft gun, suspected drugs, and drug paraphernalia, PSP said.
The school's lockdown only lasted from 9 to 9:45 a.m., according to the school.
