Thacher will investigate whether the video featuring Yonkers teachers union President Pat Puleo and Vice President Paul Diamond was doctored in any way, lohud.com said.

The video, secretly recorded by James O'Keefe of Mamaroneck nonprofit Project Veritas, shows Puleo and Diamond talking to two members of the nonprofit on how to avoid disciplinary charges after allegedly hitting a child at a school, reported lohud.com.

Along with investigating if the recording was doctored, Thacher will '[determine] if there was any breach of the [officials'] professional and ethical obligations,' according to AFT president Randi Weingarten, lohud.com noted.
