YONKERS, N.Y. -- Some Yonkers students may need to find an alternative way to get to school after a new yellow bus policy was put into effect, according to a report by News 12 Westchester.
The new policy, which was changed after almost 30 years, says that if a student lives less than one and a half miles from school, he or she will be not be allowed to use the yellow bus service, according to the report.
The policy will be strictly enforced this year, according to the report.
