Yonkers Shooting Leaves One Dead, One In Serious Condition, Police Say

YONKERS, N.Y. -- One man was killed and another remains in serious condition following a shooting in the area of Lake and Morningside Avenues on Tuesday, according to officials.

Police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 1:36 p.m. on Tuesday and found the two victims in a parked vehicle. Both men were transported to area hospitals. One was pronounced dead at approximately 2:13 p.m.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of the families.
