Officer Neil Vera, who was fired, and Detective Christian Koch were both suspended in October following a grand jury indictment on charges stemming from the warrant, LoHud.com said.

Vera now has 10 days to appeal to Mayor Mike Spano. If the mayor upholds the firing, the police union could file for arbitration, LoHud.com reported.
