Yonkers Celebrates Police Promotions At Ceremony

In front of friends, family, well-wishers and fellow officers, the Yonkers Police Department celebrated some of the city’s Finest at a promotion and graduation ceremony.

Nearly two dozen police officers in Yonkers were promoted and celebrated for their accomplishments in the city.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner promoted one Sergeant to the rank of Lieutenant and four Police Officers to the rank of Sergeant. One Sergeant was named a Detective Sergeant and six Police Officers were recognized for completing the police training required by New York State. Eight Officers were acknowledged for prior appointments. 

“Congratulations to all of those honored today, and thank you for your service and dedication to the residents of Yonkers,” Gardner said in a statement.

  • Det. Christopher McManus
  • Det. Monique McManus
  • Det. Kayla Maher
