WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Following a lengthy investigation police have busted a Westchester man who allegedly recorded intimate images of a woman without her knowledge or permission.
An investigation was launched on Sunday, Sept. 17 by the Yonkers Police Department into an unlawful surveillance incident at a Cook Avenue home after a 26-year-old woman made a complaint to officers.
The subsequent investigation into the case identified a 34-year-old suspect, Yonkers resident Joseph Cerbone, who was arrested on Friday after a search warrant was executed at his residence.
During the search warrant, evidence was recovered supporting the unlawful surveillance, in addition to illegal weapons and unlawfully possessed controlled substances.
Cerbone was arrested and charged with felony counts of unlawful surveillance and criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. The case is now being handled by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
