Michael Avery of Wappingers Falls was rescued around 4:35 p.m. Monday at the Dunmore Corporation in Brewster, after his arm was caught between two large rollers in a machine, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.

Once removed from the machine, by members of the Brewster Fire Department, Avery was transported via helicopter to Westchester Medical Center where he is in the Intensive Care Unit, said Hicks.

During the rescue by firefighters, Danbury Road, adjacent to I-84 in Brewster, was closed to allow for the landing of the LifeNet helicopter.
