YONKERS, N.Y. - Settimio "Sonny" Valenti, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Sept. 21. He was 93.

Valenti was the former co-owner of Seymour Towing in Yonkers, an operating engineer for Yonkers Contracting and a World War II Army veteran. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and the American Theater Ribbon.

Valenti is survived by his children, Anthony (Bonnie), Dennis (Dina) Valenti and Annette (William) Havrish; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie Valenti.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home Inc. , 714 Yonkers Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at Holy Trinity Church. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
