YONKERS, N.Y. - Glerice DosReis, a longtime Yonkers resident, died Nov. 27. She was 83.

DosReis was born July 26, 1930, in Viegas, Portugal, to Joaquim and Maria Rosa DeJesus Vitorino. She attended local schools. After marriage she moved with her husband to Yonkers in 1968. She worked as a seamstress for Midway Hat Company in Yonkers.

DosReis is survived by her sister, Domitilia Constantino; children, Antonio Jr. (Maria), Joseph (Marjorie) and Rosa Carroll (William); four grandchildren; and a great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio; son, Fernando; and sister, Maria DeCarvalho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 2 at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
