Ermelinda Tolli, 92, Of Yonkers, Worked With General Motors During WWII

YONKERS, N.Y. - Ermelinda Tolli, a long time Yonkers resident, died died Nov. 25. She was 92.

Tolli was born Aug. 26, 1921, to Giuseppe and Maria (Del Bene) Vittoria in Palena, Italy. She came to Yonkers as a young child and attended Yonkers Public Schools. After leaving school she worked in various jobs in Getty Square, and then during World War II she was employed by General Motors as a riveter, building planes.

Tolli is survived by her children, Maureen (Ken) Spatta and Dr. John "Butch" Tolli (Daria); four grandchildren; four great children; and sister, Ida DiBenedetto. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmine Tolli; sister, Mary Vittoria; and brothers, Mario and Anthony.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 29 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. Interment at the Ferncliff Cemetery.
