YONKERS, N.Y. -- Carol A. Sawyer of Yonkers died on Thursday, April 21, She was 68.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1947, to Chester and Frances Conklin Teborsky in Yonkers where she was raised and attended local schools.

Sawyer worked for more than 12 years for the Yonkers Public Schools as a teachers' assistant later changed careers and worked for more than 20 years at the Town of Greenburgh as an accounting clerk. She was a member of CSEA Local 1000.

She is survived by her daughter LisaMarie Sawyer and son-in-law Darren Harris Sr. of Yonkers; her three grandchildren Jazmine and Samantha Harris, Anthony Phillip Jr.; two great-grandchildren; and her two sisters Loretta of Yonkers and MaryJane of Middletown.

Memorial visiting will be held at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, from 7 to 9 p.m.
