YONKERS, N.Y. -- Longtime Yonkers resident Angelina Scala died Wednesday, Dec. 16. She was 80.
A native of Italy, Scala brought her cooking to New York in 1956. She lived in Yonkers from 1969 onward.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vittorio; her children, Michael Scala, John Scala, Victor Scala, Ann Marie Cavanaugh and Christine Gallucci; 10 grandchildren; siblings Frank and Anthony Attardi, Michelina DeMonte and Rosa Merz; many nieces and nephews; and "four furry grandchildren."
