Yonkers Unions Rally For Raises, New Contracts

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Five Yonkers unions held a rally outside City Hall demanding new contracts and higher wages on Tuesday, Sept. 30, according to News 12 Westchester.

The unions that represent  firefighters, garbage collectors, teachers and Board of Education employees and others were all represented at the rally, News 12 Westchester reported. 

Mayor Mike Spano said he hopes to reach a deal with the unions that won't cause undue hardship to taxpayers, News 12 Westchester said.
