Yonkers Student Killed While Crossing Road Near Long Island Campus

YONKERS, N.Y. -- a 24 year-old Yonkers student was struck and killed by a car Thursday night in Farmingdale, according to Newsday.

Eyyad Almargi of Yonkers was a student at Farmingdale State College on Long Island, and according to police reports was struck by a car while crossing a road near campus at approximately 9:20pm last night. According to the report, Almargi was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bethpage where he was pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
