YONKERS, N.Y. – More than 100 senior citizens displaced by a Yonkers mudslide will not return to their former homes, but be permanently relocated to other buildings, ABC 7 reported.
A Ramada Inn has been the home for the displaced people since March 11, when a wall collapsed and rushed a large quantity of mud into the back of their Walsh Road housing complex, according to ABC 7.
The facility, managed by the Yonkers Municipal Housing Authority, has been deemed uninhabitable, ABC 7 reported.
