Yonkers Psychologist Faces Charges In Husband's Shooting

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Authorities charged a Yonkers psychologist  on Friday, Nov. 21, with shooting and attempting to kill her husband, according to LoHud.com.

Kenneth Dearden, a developer  and president of the Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront Business Improvement District, filed a lawsuit alleging his wife, Emily Dearden, reportedly attempted to kill him while he slept on Friday, Nov. 14, so she could pursue a relationship with another man in Texas, LoHud.com reported. 

Kenneth Dearden originally told police that he believed an intruder had shot him but later recanted and said he remembered setting the house alarm before falling asleep. He also alleged he thought he saw his wife standing in the doorway when he awoke after being shot, LoHud.com said.
