Nolan was a baseball player who had been drafted by the Oakland Athletics.

Police said an unknown person shot Nolan because of an argument about a drag race, the story said. Nolan's mother, Donna Nolan, said her son was not involved in any such argument, and also noted that shooting someone is not the way to settle an argument, reported News 12.
