Construction Worker Suffers Injuries In Yonkers Fall

A construction worker who fell into a hole on Wednesday while building a foundation in Yonkers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Yonkers Police.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at 3 Avondale Road, said Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. 

"The crew was building a foundation and he fell into a deep hole," he said. 

The unidentified worker was rescued by firefighters and taken to a local trauma center to get checked-out, he added.
