YONKERS, N.Y. -- An upcoming HBO mini-series, directed by David Simon and set in 1980s Yonkers, will talk about race relations and housing inequality, according to The New York Times.
The series arrives at a time when race relations are particularly divisive and a looming part of the national conversation. As "Show Me a Hero" debuts Sunday, local representatives are using it as an example of problems that still exist 30 years later, reports The New York Times.
"Show Me A Hero" originally was a book written by Dobbs Ferry native Lisa Belkin as covered in The Daily Voice last month.
