YONKERS, N.Y. -- “Inside Out: Spectacular Interiors," a guided walk of historic downtown Yonkers is set for Saturday, Nov. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning at Manor Bagels Café, 46 Warburton Ave.
Little seen classic interiors will be seen on the tour guided by local historian Angie Piwinski. It will conclude with luncheon provided by downtown restaurants at a private, restored house adjacent to Saw Mill River Park which has been newly daylighted.
Participants will assemble at Manor Bagels Café at 10:30 am for coffee and bagels. The tour will depart promptly at 11 am, and end with lunch at the Bashford Street home.
Piwinski is a member of the Yonkers Historical Society; the newly elected president of the board of directors of the Friends of Philipse Manor Hall; and a former member of the Yonkers Landmarks Preservation Board.
