A Wind Advisory that includes Southern Westchester is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 4 a.m. Thursday.

The showers and thunderstorms are expected to arrive around noon time ahead of a cold front with periods of sprinkles prior to 12 p.m. Areas of fog are likely during the day, which we see a high temperature of around 50 degrees.

Damaging gusty winds will be most likely during the evening and overnight hours. Localized flooding is possible in areas of poor drainage as well as in streams and small rivers.

By the time the system wraps up Thursday morning, the area could see up to 2 inches of rainfall.

The outlook for Thursday calls for cloudy skies with temperatures falling during the afternoon to the low 40s as the cold front arrives.
