Traffic Alert Issued For Busy Yonkers Roadway

YONKERS, N.Y. - Police are avoiding motorists to avoid a prominent Yonkers roadway as construction work continues in the area.

The Yonkers Police Department issued a traffic alert at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon warning to avoid Tuckahoe Road near Saw Mill River Road due to construction delays.

Police said that westbound traffic on Tuckahoe Road will be affected by the construction work and there will be no left turn traffic onto Rossiter Avenue. It was not immediately clear how long the delays are expected to last.
