Popular Barber, Local Dad Killed In Head-On Route 49 Motorcycle Crash
A 38-year-old barber from Millville was killed in a head-on motorcycle crash in Cumberland County, authorities said.
Nestor Rodriguez Jr. died shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1 in the crash on Route 49 in Fairfield Township, New Jersey State Police said.
Rodriguez, a father of two, was remembered as a "beacon of joy" on a GoFundMe page.
"Nestor was a beacon of joy, always spreading laughter wherever he went," the page says. "His presence was a gift, and he touched the lives of all who knew him."

Feds: Nine Sex, Money, Murder Members Nabbed With Fentanyl, Coke, More At Open-Air Drug Market
Nine reputed members and associates of the Sex, Money, Murder street gang were charged by Homeland Security agents in New Jersey with peddling fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine at an open-air drug market.
Working with local law enforcers, agents with HSI Investigations Newark homed in on a neighborhood on West 3rd Street in Plainfield where the subset of the Bloods controlled the drug trade, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said.
For months, they witnessed and recorded sales, conducted undercover buys -- some by confidential informants -- and analyzed phone records, the U.S. attorney said.

Driver, 44, Airlifted When Vehicle Overturns On Route 78 In Hunterdon County: Njsp
A 44-year-old Cranford man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after his vehicle overturned on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on the evening of Sunday, April 28, authorities said.
At 7:07 p.m., a GMC SUV was traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Union Township when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
The man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

A convicted felon admitted to selling heroin mixed with fentanyl and methamphetamine throughout Atlantic County, authorities said.
Matthew Lynch, 33, of Galloway Township, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Apr. 23 to second-degree possession with the intent to distribute heroin/fentanyl. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced the guilty plea in a news release on Friday, Apr. 26.

Alton Smith, of Levittown, PA, had bee driving a BMW 328i when he got into a crash with another BMW around 2:20 a.m. in Robbinsville, New Jersey State Police said.

Two people were injured in a five vehicle crash involving multiple means of transportation on I-80 in Morris County the early morning of Friday, April 19, authorities said.
At 1:03 a.m., a crash occurred between a Toyota passenger vehicle, Harley Davidson motorcycle, Ford SUV, Ford pickup truck and a tractor-trailer on Route 80 West in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
