YONKERS, N.Y. ‒ The Yonkers Gladiators 12-Under team heads to Tampa, Fla., Friday to represent the Northeast in the Youth Tackle Football League National Championships.

The trip is expected to cost $20,000, and the sponsoring Nepperhan Community Center and its community are seeking donations.

Shauntrell James, Melvin Croslan, Masai Ali and Tyreese Williams are the coaches.

The players are: Rance Hamilton, Louis Barge, Jaden   Gaynor, David Smith, Rashod McNulty Jr., Steven  Mackey, Maurice Frederick, David Wesley, Edwin   Miller, Anthony Biascochea, Jaylin Fields, Julio Suarez, Giovanni Darrell, Keyshwan Miller, Derrick Wright, Yemisi  Oyelakin, Rodney Luna, Terrell Johnson and Jamel Batts.

Those interested in sponsoring a player or contributing to the Gladiators may send tax deductible donations to the Nepperhan Community Center's 501 3 non-profit organization.  Donors may contact the Center at 914-965-0203 to make a contribution as small as $5  or go to the Gladiators' website for a Paypal link
