Westchester Knicks Invite Fans To NBA D-League Draft Party In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, invite fans to a NBA D-League Draft Party at Buffalo Wild Wings in downtown White Plains on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Westchester Knicks General Manager Allan Houston and Head Coach Kevin Whitted will announce the results of the 2014 NBA D-League Draft to fans in person.

The party will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings on 1 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.

The draft itself will take place via Cisco WebEx at 3:30 p.m. Fans can follow the eight-round NBA D-League Draft on nba.com/dleague. As the newest team in the D-League, the Westchester Knicks will select the 10th pick, between the playoff and non-playoff teams.

Houston and Whitted will be joined by members of the Westchester Knicks Dancers, who are making their first public appearance. The event will be streamed live by WFAS 1230AM with Westchester Knicks broadcasters David Resnick and Jordan Griffith. Westchester Knicks public address announcer Mark Fratto will host the event, which will also include giveaways and Knicks trivia for fans.

The draft party will tip off the Westchester Knicks’ inaugural season with the team’s debut at the Westchester County Center on Monday, Nov. 10, for a preseason matchup against the Delaware 87ers at 7 p.m.

The team begins its regular season play on the road followed by the home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Westchester County Center.
