Inaugural 5K Comes To Eastchester

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The inaugural Eastchester 5K, sponsored by the Eastchester Irish American Social Club, will be taking place on Sunday, Sept. 28, beginning at 9 a.m.

More than 600 runners and approximately 100 walkers are scheduled to participate. Racers should arrive by 7:30 a.m.

The race will start at Eastchester Town Hall at 9 a.m., and an awards ceremony will follow at 10:30 a.m.

Funds from the 5K will go for Eastchester High School's bleachers and press box.
