Concordia Men’s Team Golf Places Fifth At Cacc Championships

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Concordia College men’s golf team finished fifth out of the 10 teams at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships at the Back Creek Golf Club on Wednesday, April 20.

Junior Juan Roa led Concordia with a two-day total of 153 as he placed tied for fifth out of the 50 golfers. 

By placing in the top-five, Roe earned a spot on the CACC Men's Golf All-Tournament Team. 

Sophomore Chartpetch Bangpetch followed with a 160 as he finished tied for 16 to give the Clippers two golfers in the top-20. Sophomore Mark Kilpatrick placed 29th overall after shooting a 164 for the tournament. Freshman Evan Hong placed two strokes behind with a 166 as he finished 31st. Freshman Kanoon Bunthanawong rounded out the scores for the Clippers as he shot a 169 over the two rounds as he would finish T-35. 

Concordia will now wait until Friday, at 6 p.m. for the NCAA to announce the participants in the NCAA Atlantic / East Super Regionals. T

he announcement will be made on the NCAA website via a press release. If the Clippers are selected they will visit the Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville for the three-day event beginning on Monday, May 2.
