Stepinac Running Back From Yonkers Receives College Offer

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Archbishop Stepinac running back Malcolm Major received his first college offer Wednesday.

The offer was made by Assumption College.

Major, a senior from Yonkers, has rushed for 552 yards and five touchdowns this fall for the unbeaten Crusaders. He is averaging 7.8 yards per carry in the team's balanced running attack.

Assumption, in Worcester, Mass. plays in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Major's best game this season came in a 38-21 win over St. Anthony's, when he rushed for 136 yards on 13 carries.

Yonkers meets Cardinal Hayes in a playoff game Sunday at 1 p.m. at Stepinac.
