School 22 in Yonkers Recognized For Charitable Work

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers School 22 was honored Wednesday for its many contributions to charitable causes, according to hudsonvalley.news12.com.

The school at 1408 Nepperhan Ave. was named the School of the Month and presented a proclamation on behalf of Mayor Mike Spano, according to the report.

The school was recognized primarily for its charitable work, which includes raising money for autism, conducting food and coats drives and raising more than $3,000 for leukemia, the report said.
