Former Yonkers Three-Sport Star Making Mark As Section 1 Athletic Director

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - Daily Voice sat down with North Salem High's Henry Sassone, as part of our continuing series on Athletic Directors.

Daily Voice talks to North Salem High Athletic Director Henry Sassone about his work, and what he loves about being the driving force behind the North Salem Athletic Department.

Henry Sassone has been a fixture at North Salem High School for the last 32 years, coaching the boys varsity basketball team for the entire stretch. Sassone is entering his 30th year as the school's director of athletics.

Sassone, a Patterson resident, grew up in Yonkers and attended Lincoln High School, where he was a three-sport athlete, playing baseball, basketball and football.

He later went to Manhattan College (where he played two years of baseball) before doing grad work at Fordham University.
