Baiocco will be appointed at a board meeting in June and will start on July 1. He replaces Joseph Ricca, who is leaving to be superintendent in White Plains. Baiocco is currently principal of Alexander Hamilton Jr./Sr. High School.

"This is an opportunity for me to both grow professionally and continuously improve the teaching and learning process for our students in the Elmsford UFSD," Baiocco said. "I look forward to working closely with the Board of Education and all of our stakeholders to continue to capitalize on our district’s outstanding dedication to excellence.”

Dennis Rambaran, the president of the school board, said they were thrilled to have chosen Baiocco.

"We are confident that his energy, vision, and dedication will continue to move the district forward with an emphasis on meeting the needs of all of our students," Rambaran said.

Before coming to Elmsford, Baiocco was an assistant principal in Yonkers. He holds a bachelor's degree from Iona and a master's degree from Mercy.

“We heard loud and clear that our community desires a proven leader and one who is comfortable in our collaborative, student and community-centered environment," Rambaran said.
