We believe he will be a great fit for our District culture.”

Schoenfeld is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Technology in the Amherst Central School District, a suburb of Buffalo.

He has 25 years of experience in education, with 14 of those years as a principal in an elementary and junior high school.

“I am humbled and honored for the opportunity to be joining this outstanding learning community - it is truly a gem of a district,” Schoenfeld said. "I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and will work tirelessly to serve the students, faculty, staff and families of the Ardsley School District.”

The Ardsley Board of Education engaged a professional search consultant and chose Schoenfeld after a rigorous search process.

Schoenfeld was born in Queens, raised in Westchester County, and graduated from Rye Neck High School.

As a dedicated lifelong learner, he attended SUNY Albany for his undergraduate degree, Pace University for a Master's Degree in Education, and SUNY Buffalo for both a Master's Degree in School Administration and an Educational Doctorate. Schoenfeld will be transitioning to his new role with support from Lauren Allan who is retiring at the end of the school year after working 15 years for the Ardsley School District.
