The mishap occurred about 2:30 p.m. Friday near Grand Teton Avenue and Newtons Corner Road in Howell Township, initial reports said.
An unconfirmed report said that the juvenile was "in and out of consciousness after suffering a head injury."
Howell police were not immediately available for comment.
