A suspected carjacker was shot and killed by a Nassau County Police officer after a chase that ended in Queens.

The incident took place around 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, when Nassau County officers were pursuing an alleged carjacker that ended with the driver crashing into a beauty salon on 217th Street in Cambria Heights, Queens, according to sources.

The suspect was then shot and killed by the officer.

Nassau County Police confirmed the shooting involving their officers but referred calls to the NYPD, which is investigating. NYPD officials referred calls to Nassau County Police.
