Alley fight over bowling lane

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A fight over a bowling lane left one man with a sore jaw and the other facing assault charges.

Fair Lawn Police Officers Kevin Wood, Brian Rypkema and Sgt Eric Leitman got to the Brunswick Lanes on Maple Avenue to find that the fight had broken up.

“According to the participants, the fight began over the use of a particular bowling lane,” Sgt. Richard Schultz said. “The heated argument turned physical when the one male shoved the other.”

The next thing you know, the sergeant said, 24-year-old Jhonatan Garcia popped the other man in the face.

Garcia was processed at headquarters and later released without bail, pending a March 24 Municipal Court hearing he said.
