Route 58 Bridge Work Near Redding Canceled For This Weekend

REDDING, Conn. -- Plans to remove the bridge over Putnam Brook on Route 58 and close the road for four days in Bethel near the Redding border have been canceled, according to a Connecticut Department of Transportation release.

The DOT will release the new date for the project in the near future.

When the work is done, both the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 58 will be closed between Hoyts Hill Road and Saras Way. The site is just north of Putnam Memorial State Park in Redding.
