Addressing a group of 4,500 at the eighth annual NYC Real Estate Expo in Midtown, the county executive hailed Westchester’s “talented” workforce, convenient location, great schools, public parks, open space, accessibility to airports, mass transit, hospitals and communities that draw the best from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

“Big guys like New York Presbyterian, Montefiore and Memorial Sloan Kettering are investing hundreds of millions of dollars into Westchester, which in turn is creating jobs” Astorino told the crowd, according to a statement from his office.

He went on to discuss his view that medical educational facilities and companies increasingly see Westchester as “a resource for intelligent and highly-skilled professionals.”

According to his office, Astorino spoke during a one-on-one breakout session that included a conversation with Michael Stoler, host of the Stoler Report-New York’s Business Report. During the discussion, the pair spoke about how county government can help business development.

Astorino’s speech is the latest occasion during which he praised Westchester as a land of access. Last month, he discussed similar ideas while addressing a group of regional business leaders.
