Spano said he found no cause to veto the City Council's approval of the Landmark Preservation Board decision to declare 20 Grandview Blvd. a landmark. The mansion, one of the first houses in the area, was bought last year by the Islamic Community Center of Mid-Westchester, lohud.com reports.
Spano said the landmark status only affects any exterior changes and does not prevent it from being used as a place of worship, lohud.com says.
