Letter to the editor:
If you are appalled by the injustices of the Trump administration, you can make a difference by voting for George Latimer for County Executive and Catherine Borgia for County Legislator.
Rob Astorino has supported: Trump’s ban on the resettlement of Syrian refugees; Trump’s draconian immigration agenda by vetoing the Immigration Protection Act; and Trump’s ban on Muslims entering the U.S., arguing that the travel ban didn’t target Muslims. Like Trump, he kowtows to the NRA’s agenda; he vetoed the County Legislator’s prohibition and allowed a gun show at the County Center, where vendors sold Nazi and confederate paraphernalia.
Astorino’s support has resulted in Trump benefactor and right-wing extremist Robert Mercer giving $1 million to a PAC which recently spent $400,000 on advertising backing Astorino and attacking Latimer.
On November 7th, please vote for Latimer and Borgia. They represent the values of Westchester’s families, and will make sure that we never waver from our commitment to justice, equality, and opportunity for all.
