County Legislators Meet To Discuss Children's Product Safety Act

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The Westchester County Board of Legislators (BOL) began discussion of the Children’s Product Safety Act, which prohibits the sale of toys that contains certain dangerous chemicals, during a joint meeting of the BOL Community Services Committee and BOL Legislation Committee on Monday.

The bill was introduced in September by Legislator Catherine Borgia and several co-sponsors. Christopher Goeken, Director of Public Policy and Government Relations for the New York League of Conservation Voters, will be addressing the BOL committee members about the need for the legislation.

The BOL Community Services Committee is chaired by Legislator Alfreda Williams (D-Greenburgh), and the BOL Legislation Committee is chaired by Legislator Virginia Perez (D-Yonkers).
