YONKERS, N.Y. -- Piedad Abreu, who is running for election as County Legislator on the Independence Party line, said that she will file a formal complaint with the New York State Board of Elections regarding a planned bus trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino that Virginia Perez, the incumbent, is organizing for residents in the 17th Legislative District.

The trip will also include a stop at a shopping center. The Abreu campaign argues that Perez is buying votes, with the trip scheduled only a few days before Election Day.
