Spano and Sweeney dropped in on the new class of 50 probationary firefighters at the Westchester County Training Facility in Valhalla.

The new class of firefighters was sworn in by Spano in September and is currently undergoing an intensive training program as part of their participation in the Yonkers Fire Academy. The “Probies” demonstrated several firefighting tactics for the mayor and commissioner.

The firefighters are scheduled to graduate from the Fire Academy and join the Yonkers Fire Department in late December of this year.
