Yonkers Police Units Assist In Jet Skier Rescue

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Multiple law enforcement agencies helped rescue a pair of jet skiers when their vessel overturned in the Hudson River on Thursday night.

Members of the Hastings Police Department, Westchester County Police, the U.S. Coast Guard and Yonkers Police Department teamed up to assist two jet skiers who lost control of their vehicle, overturned and were separated from each other in the middle of the Hudson.

Officers were able to track down and rescue the two boaters who were subsequently taken to the John F. Kennedy Marina in Yonkers and treated as a precaution by paramedics with Empress before being released. No serious injuries were reported.
