YONKERS, N.Y. - The Yonkers Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance as they seek as many as three potential gunmen that shot a 4-year-old girl and teenager in broad daylight over the weekend.

According to police, at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, gun shots rang out on Willow Street, a block from Columbus Park. An 18-year-old man was grazed on his ankle by one bullet, the 4-year-old was struck in the leg by another while she walked with her mother.

The teenager refused medical attention, while the child was transported to a nearby hospital, treated and released Sunday night.

Detectives investigating the case have recovered several shell casing and are reportedly reviewing security footage from nearby buildings. Three men were seen running north on Willow Street after the shooting.

No arrests have been made, and investigating detectives are asking anyone with information to call them confidentially at (914) 377-7424.
