Yonkers police issued surveillance photos Thursday of two men they say broke into the New World Chinese Restaurant at 440 S. Broadway on Oct. 22 at 1:54 a.m.
Police say one of the men pulled back a security gate at the restaurant, allowing the second man to enter. Police said the men made off with cash but did not say how much was taken.
Police said they suspect the two men may also be linked to a string of burglaries in the southwest section of the city. Officials say they have seen six other commercial burglaries in the area in recent months, many with similar circumstances.
Anyone with information should contact the Detective Division at 914-377-7724 and all calls will remain confidential. Tips can also be sent to the tip411 anonymous texting program or through the Yonkers Police Department iPhone app.
