Yonkers Police Investigating Purse Snatching

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers Police are investigating a purse snatching that took place on Saturday morning, officials said.

The victim lives in the Monarch building on Ridge Hill Boulevard.

The man grabbed the woman and the two struggled briefly before the suspect fled with the victim's purse and a necklace, Yonkers Police said. 

The Detective Division is investigating and anyone with information should call 914-377-7724.

There will be increased patrols in the area and residents are advised to call 911 if they observe any suspicious persons or vehicles.
