YONKERS, N. Y. -- Yonkers police are seeking the public's help in finding those responsible for a Saturday shooting that injured a 16-year-old Bronx youth.
After receiving the call of shots fired at 2:21 p.m., Saturday, along Cottage Gardens, they found the young man with a gunshot wound in the 200 block of North Broadway, police said. He underwent surgery at a local trauma center for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Crime scene detectives are focusing on the 0-100 block of South Cottage Gardens after initial reports showed the young man was shot while walking in the area, police said. He was shot one time in the left backside area, police said.
