A “10-minute” survey has been released by the department as they attempt to take steps to further improve services and increase the public’s safety.

The survey - which is available in English and Spanish - involves the perceptions of community partnerships and includes questions regarding any interactions one may have had with members of the Yonkers Police Department in the past two years. All responses are being kept confidential.

No Internet? No problem. Those still hopeful of participating in the survey can take it over the phone by calling (800) 634-1679 or in person at the Yonkers Police Department. Completed surveys can then be delivered to any precinct in a sealed envelope.

According to Yonkers Police Det. Dean Politopoulos, the larger the response from the community, the more data can be collected and analyzed for recommendations to improve service in the community.

Those interested in taking the survey can do so online. The survey ends on Friday.
